The Seattle Indiann Services Commission acquired one of these sculptures in the 1980s, and may still have it at their 12th & Weller Pearl Warner building. You can contact them via info@seattleindianservices.org.

Weird memory just came up about these, remembered that you wrote about them! Thanks.

There’s one at a private residence near Buhl, Idaho. Looks like I can’t post a photo here, so I’ll send it via email.

Many years ago... probably a decade I went to an estate sale where a lot of this architectural art was for sale in a field. I think some of these were in that stuff.

It was on Puget Way SW up from T-107 Park. I looked up the address on the King Co Parcel Viewer - 4818 15TH AVE SW 98106. Currently owned by Cardiff Investment. Maybe you can trace back thru the property records who owned it back when that sale was. Here is the parcel #284070-0005

They were impressive pieces and it was really muddy up there. But that was part of my wandering around and estate sales take one to places you can't access with an excuse.

Hope this helps. Batgurrl

Oh no... I dreamed about these guys last night. I knew I had seen one of them in a park and somewhere in the night I came to Discovery Park. I see that you already have that one in your inventory.

I also have been trying to sort out when that sale was off of West Marginal. I don't think the Duwamish Longhouse was there yet so this must have been prior to 2009. I am going to search my photos some more. I file them by topic and have a few more places to look.

Love a good mystery!! History junkies Unite!

Your story and photos bear a suspicious similarity to my story from 2020. Perhaps it’s a coincidence, but I wonder. https://www.curtislegacyfoundation.org/post/the-curtis-inspired-native-chief-sculptures-watching-over-seattle

Yes, I was influenced by your discussion of the influences on the design, which is why I linked to it. I apologize if you feel that I didn't fully credit you.

I appreciate the link, but you appear to have used three of my photos without permission. A simple request in advance would have been appreciated.

As I stated, I was influenced by your post, but only one of the images in my original post (the one from the Kent KOA) was taken from your original post. I apologize for not acknowledging it. I have now acknowledged it on my post. If you'd like me to remove it, I will. All the rest of the images are mine or are from the public domain, in the case of Running Antelope and White Man Runs Him.
