I got lost in this essay. Nature is so healing not only for itself but also for us.
We went to NE side of the mountain over a couple decades ago. The white broken trees blown by a volcanic bomb were still stark and the reclamation of mother nature had only begun.
But one thing stuck the most in my memory was this small lake that was behind a hill and all the beings there survived the blast. It was a green oasis in the middle of devastation.
So much to learn from this eruption. Mostly the lesson is when all is lost that time will recover and we will be found again.

Uplifting descriptions of the beauty, power, and wisdom of the natural world. Thanks for taking us there through words and images.
Nice essay contrasting the ancient forest and successional landscape after volcanic disturbance.
A picture of two landscapes and ecosystems beautifully painted. Thank you 😊
Thanks for your kind words.
