That’s some drama and very interesting. No doubt beats Stephen King in the moment. Gopher eskers, now there’s a topic for further exploration! Any takers, hint, hint?

Our yard is also being excavated by moles this year. Saw one racoon ambling through the other day. (Don't read Steven King, but looking online provides enough terror.)

Ain't nature fascinating!? What a cool event to witness. I love s**t like this! Thank you. and i agree with Carol that the Stephen King novel was a nice touch, though until reading on, I thought, "Who cares what she's reading?"

Nice touch: "Marjorie was reading a Stephen King novel..."

Great storytelling about nature events that most of us rarely see. And, I learned the difference between soil and dirt!

Gruesome example of real life happening. I've never seen a coon attack like that!

Now I wish I could discourage these teeny tiny ants from wandering around my bathroom sink... Just glad they aren't in the Kitchen.

And, I am planning on a story about ants one of these days!

We also have ants in our bathroom.

Weird that they don't go for the kitchen, isn't it?

When we moved here in 2018, our neighbors informed us about the little critters in the 'hood.

One good thing...the outside ants are a treat for the flickers.

One small correction: Steller's, not Stellar's. I was informed once of my same mistake.
