Wonderful article, something I am really interested in too as well. As attending Roosevelt High School awhile ago, I was always fascinated by the tunnel that connects to UW. Presumedly built during the war for evacuations.
Very interesting! And as a strange side note--my husband and I currently own the home near Greenlake the that Helene Madison grew up in!
