Greetings and Happy Thanksgiving to all. I thought I’d try an acrostic to celebrate the holiday and share a few highlights of my year. Hope - On this day of thanks, I wish all of you a healthful and happy day of family and friends and hope that our world turns more just, equitable, and honorable.
Happy Thanksgiving to you and your family, David! I will take this post with me today on a mindful walk to the Seattle waterfront and around town. During my Thanksgiving walks, I am particularly mindful of the indigenous caretakers of this land, past and present. I try to imagine Seattle before it was Seattle. As I walk today, I will call to mind things I've read in your books and here in this newsletter to help me connect to that past and be grateful for all the plants, creatures, and natural formations that make this place so special. Thank you!
