I was in Boston during May 2022. I wished that I had stopped by the museum.
I visited the museum in 1988. Since I didn't do well in college geology I failed to notice the minerals that went into building the museum. I was a former art student so I did notice the beautiful lighting in the museum.
It sounds like your four hour visit to the museum was well-spent time.
I think the only museum cafe I've dined at is the Seattle Art Museum. I bought a snack at the Andy Warhol Museum in PIttsburgh.
Speaking of PIttsburgh, have you ever visited the Carnegie Museum of Natural History? I spent hours in the space with gemstones and crystals. To get there, I went through the space that had dinosaurs and information about prehistoric Pennsylvania and the NE.
It seems that the key to good museum are many bathrooms, a well-stocked gift shop, and a good cafe! No, I haven't been to that museum but have heard good things about it.
Didn’t know our mountain was named after a British Admiral . Never gave it much thought. Surprised the name was never changed. But then most of the towns in New England are named after English towns.
Seeing with new eyes, I think. Loved this!

Yes, it was well spent and fun and we had a good meal in the cafe!
